This is a story about the writer itself. How she was raised by Mrs Winterson and her husband. She was adopted by Mrs W and she loves to read but Mrs W was someone who believed that we live to suffer. Jeanette leaved the house and lived in a car until she became a famous writer. One day, she found a box about herself and started to search for her biological mother.
You can feel the stress when you read this book but it still a good book that made we realize, everything you see is not really what you see. There's a lot more secret that sometimes people can't tell until it's the right time and don't just judge people when you don't really know what they have been through.
